This is the latest documentation available as of 2006-03-04. It is in the offline windows chm format for easy reading and searching.

Contained is the information needed for creating new modules for all versions and upgrading from previous versions.

As of this date the Doc Book format exported by Drupal is flawed in that older material created before the Drupal.org upgades does not export to XML properly. This is causing errant HTML entities and missing pages because GemDoc and other tools do not understand the outputed xml from Drupal.org. So much of the building of these chm files must still be done by hand.
