I don't agree with everything that is said here. There is also too much comparison with other languages rather than a discussion of PHP5. But there are some interesting points made which PHP programmers should think about.

Though this is a series of seven parts I found myself skipping over to the last parts. The constant references to Java and Perl threw me off. I thought they had gotten the title wrong.

The part that I don't agree with is that I think that Object-oriented programming in the PHP world has taken on viral traits. You cannot hope to succeeed in a project without knowing and doing some handling of OO code. The speaker proves this by bringing into context some popular PHP projects like phpMyAdmin and how they are coded.
