One of the most important parts of being able to create a useful website is to be able to type the content. You want to be able to have content that is created for a specific purpose or section. Shoppingcart items, jobs, blog entries and more can be mocked up within the Drupal system. Drupal is not alone in having this feature but it is one of the easiest CMS (typo3 and ezpublish are incredibly difficult) to do this in once you get the hang of it.
