one of you know me but I am a web developer that used to work for Studentis AB. Studentis AB is the company that purchased many web communities from hobbyists and tried to create a network circle. My job as web developer was to help with these communites and to take their code over to the Drupal 4.7 platform
I am in the middle of a battle with the owners of Studentis AB who have in the last week broken off all employment agreements. Studentis has:
* student.se
* skoore.com
* pupkus.com
* festivalinfo.net
* Shoutcentral.com
* Pajas.co.uk
* spana.com
Those that really want to help can go the extreme of deleting their accounts at these websites. You can also just Digg this story up so that it makes a sort of virtual protest march. If you are a member of any of these communities I urge you to investigate this situation more deeply and to post your thoughts and opinions in those forums and on your blogs.
If you are a Drupal developer, web designer or web developer be aware of the problems that may arise from any dealings with this company. The management is without conscious and do not follow through on any of their promises, written or verbal.
If anyone has any questions you can post them here or email me using the contact form. I will be happy to answer anything concerning Studentis as best I can.
Thanks for your support!
Happy Publishing!
Well, I can only agree and confirm that everything you said in your post are true.
I’ve been there myself…
Court next?
I have to say I have been there myself. Salary are, luckily covered really well in Swedish laws and the union is strong here (Well, not as strong as France or Germany) but still : ) And I have to walk that path myself.
I do not think posting blogs about issues you are having with the former employer is the right thing to do. Without hearing the other side, it’s hard to say if you are right or wrong. There should be other ways to resolve these kinds of conflicts.

You can say or represent anything you want in you blog this is the point. This is why they are so important. You have freedoms and a voice you would otherwise never have. You can influence many things with a blog.
I haven’t enjoyed myself this much since reading http://www.fuckedcompany.com. It is sad that businesses think they can get away with stuff like this. Be careful bud and good luck with finding bigger and better things.
I hope that you and the management resolve your issues. If not then please contact me.
Best of luck,
// Mikkel
