Captcha is the of a challege and response sytem to tell an automated computer user form a human user. This module uses a image that has text on a background that cannot easily be deciphered by a computer. visula recognition of the image is required to enter the text to another field. Captcha is not to be used in situations where there is a high percentage of visually disabled visitors expected.

Captchas are used to prevent bots from using various types of computing services. Applications include preventing bots from taking part in online polls, registering for free email accounts (which may then be used to send spam), and, more recently, preventing bot-generated spam by requiring that the (unrecognized) sender pass a captcha test before the email message is delivered.
