What is FireOrb?

FireOrb is a content management framework based on Drupal 4.6 (a previous fork TypicalText) and 4.7. FireOrb is not a distribution of Drupal but a continuation of development of the CMS in a new direction. FireOrb development will always put simplicity and understandable systems first over bells and whistles. FireOrb will also take full advantage of the latest PHP functionality and MySQL inprovements. FireOrb is a web developers CMS not designed to be a complete website out-of-the-box but a serious framework of APIs that can be used to create large, scalable and speedy community websites.
